It was nice to wake up to good news that our Movie Pick for the past weekend did well in the box office. The Pursuit of Happyness won over Eragon and Charlotte’s Web. By the way, I haven’t seen Charlotte’s Web yet, but I know that our favorite talk show host Oprah did the voice of a Duck in the movie, so I figure it was also a pretty good movie.

Here’s how the top three did during the weekend

1.The Pursuit of Happyness — $27,000,000
2.Eragon — $23,450,000
3.Charlotte’s Web — $12,026,000

The Pursuit of Happyness really is getting a lot of acclaim, and Will Smith also has been nominated for best actor. But of course, our main push for this movie is really because that it’s such an inspiring story. A true story. So go out and watch everyone!
